This is a Burkert indirect operating 2/2 way solenoid valve with G 1/2 inch threads and a 110 V AC coil. The valve has a brass housing with NBR sealing and an orifice size of mm. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally closed, which means the valve opens when voltage is applied. However, the function can easily be changed between NC and NO by rotating the pilot valve on the top side by 180 degrees. Suitable for a pressure of 0.2 – 10 bar (3 – 145 psi) and a maximum temperature of 80 °C (176 °F). The valve has a Kv-value of m3/h, this translates to a flow rate of 0 l/min at a differential pressure of 1 bar (for water). In imperial units: Cv = 0, which means 0 GPM @ 1 psi pressure drop. The brass housing is durable, suitable for neutral fluids and resistant to many chemicals. The NBR (nitrile rubber) sealing is suited for water, air, alcohol and is fairly resistance to oil and petrol. NBR is unsatisfactory with oxidising fluids. Please note that the internal valve parts, such as the stainless steel plunger and springs, are also in contact with the medium and must be chemically compatible. Consult our chemical resistance chart to verify compatibility of housing and seals with the medium. The manual override feature can be used to commission the system. You can separately adjust the opening and closing time of the valve with set screws, for example to prevent water hammer. The valve’s design prevents water hammering. The valve has an IP65 rating if properly connected.
