This is a Burkert indirect operating 2/2 way solenoid valve with 1/2 inch NPT threads and a 12 V DC coil. The valve has a brass housing with NBR sealing and an orifice size of 13 mm. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally closed, which means the valve opens when voltage is applied. Suitable for a pressure of 0.2 – 16 bar (3 – 232 psi) and a maximum temperature of 80 °C (176 °F). The valve has a Kv-value of 3.8 m3/h, this translates to a flow rate of 63 l/min at a differential pressure of 1 bar (for water). In imperial units: Cv = 4, which means 4 GPM @ 1 psi pressure drop. The brass housing is durable, suitable for neutral fluids and resistant to many chemicals. The NBR (nitrile rubber) sealing is suited for water, air, alcohol and is fairly resistance to oil and petrol. NBR is unsatisfactory with oxidising fluids. Please note that the internal valve parts, such as the stainless steel plunger and springs, are also in contact with the medium and must be chemically compatible. Consult our chemical resistance chart to verify compatibility of housing and seals with the medium. The manual override feature can be used to commission the system. The valve’s design prevents water hammering. This valve is certified to comply with UL Listed cURus standard. The valve has an IP65 rating if properly connected.

Cons:

- The coil may get hot when energized. A well ventilated environment is recommended

The pressure difference over the inlet and outlet ports is used to move the membrane up and down. A minimal pressure differential is always required.
