This is a Burkert indirect operating 2/2 way solenoid valve with G 1 inch threads and a 24 V AC/DC coil. The valve has a brass housing with FKM sealing and an orifice size of 25 mm. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally open, which means the valve closes when voltage is applied. Suitable for a pressure of 0.2 – 16 bar (3 – 232 psi) and a maximum temperature of 60 °C (140 °F). The valve has a Kv-value of 12 m3/h, this translates to a flow rate of 200 l/min at a differential pressure of 1 bar (for water). In imperial units: Cv = 14, which means 14 GPM @ 1 psi pressure drop. The brass housing is durable, suitable for neutral fluids and resistant to many chemicals. The FKM (fluorine rubber or Viton) sealing has excellent chemical properties, is suited for most oils and solvents but it cannot handle hot water or steam. Please note that the internal valve parts, such as the stainless steel plunger and springs, are also in contact with the medium and must be chemically compatible. The valve is fat and oil free, meaning it won’t contaminate the media. Therefore, it’s suitable for laboratory use as well as oxygen. Thanks to the ATEX and IECEx certification, this solenoid valve is suited for explosive environments. The valve has an IP65 rating if properly connected.

- The coil may get hot when energized. A well ventilated environment is recommended

The Bürkert 6281 valve is an indirect operated solenoid valve of the S.EV series. To open and close, the valve features a large flexible rubber membrane. The pressure difference over the inlet and outlet ports is used to move the membrane up and down. A minimal pressure differential is always required. Thanks to the special design of the membrane and valve seat, the valve operates quietly. The brass housing satisfies all European drinking water requirements. The 6281 series offers various options, including different housing materials, ATEX versions, and a manual override feature.
