This is a Burkert indirect operating 2/2 way solenoid valve with G 1 1/4 inch threads and a 24 V AC coil. The valve has a stainless steel housing with EPDM sealing and an orifice size of 25 mm. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally closed, which means the valve opens when voltage is applied. Suitable for a pressure of 0.2 – 16 bar (3 – 232 psi) and a maximum temperature of 90 °C (194 °F). The valve has a Kv-value of 12 m3/h, this translates to a flow rate of 200 l/min at a differential pressure of 1 bar (for water). In imperial units: Cv = 14, which means 14 GPM @ 1 psi pressure drop. The stainless steel housing is very durable, strong and resistant to a wide range of chemicals with the exception of chloride solutions. The EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber) sealing is suited for neutral fluids and many chemicals, but it has poor resistance to oils and fats. Please note that the internal valve parts, such as the stainless steel plunger and springs, are also in contact with the medium and must be chemically compatible. The valve has an IP65 rating if properly connected.
