This is a Burkert direct operating 3/2 way solenoid valve with 9 x 26 mm SFB flange and a 24 V DC coil. The valve has a PPS housing with FKM sealing and an orifice size of 1.2 mm. SFB is a Burkert specific flange design that enables compact mounting of multiple valves on a manifold. This bi-stable solenoid valve is designed to switch positions and stay in that position after a short electrical pulse of at least 50 ms. A pulse with reverse polarity is required to switch back to the original position. As it is direct operating, no pressure differential over the valve is needed to open the valve. Suitable for a pressure of -1 – 2 bar (-15 – 29 psi) and a maximum temperature of 40 °C (104 °F). The valve has a Kv-value of 0.026 m3/h, this translates to a flow rate of 0 l/min at a differential pressure of 1 bar (for water). In imperial units: Cv = 0, which means 0 GPM @ 1 psi pressure drop. This model is media separated. This means that the working parts such as the spring are separated from the media by a flexible membrane, which makes it possible to use of slightly contaminated and aggressive media. Please note that the internal valve parts, such as the stainless steel plunger and springs, are also in contact with the medium and must be chemically compatible. Consult our chemical resistance chart to verify compatibility of housing and seals with the medium. The valve requires an electrical pulse to switch between open and closed states rather than a continuous signal, leading to a lower energy consumption. The valve has an IP10 rating if properly connected.
