This is a Burkert direct operating 3/2 way solenoid valve with 32×46 mm SFB flange and a 24 V AC/DC coil. The valve has a brass housing with NBR sealing and an orifice size of 2 mm. SFB is a Burkert specific flange design that enables compact mounting of multiple valves on a manifold. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is universal. The 3-way valve connects a common port to one of the two other ports, depending on whether the coil is energized. In this version, the pressure can be applied to all ports. As it is direct operating, no pressure differential over the valve is needed to open the valve. Suitable for a pressure of 0 – 10 bar (145 psi) and a maximum temperature of 80 °C (176 °F). The valve has a Kv-value of 0.1 m3/h, this translates to a flow rate of 2 l/min at a differential pressure of 1 bar (for water). In imperial units: Cv = 0, which means 0 GPM @ 1 psi pressure drop. This model is media separated. This means that the working parts such as the spring are separated from the media by a flexible membrane, which makes it possible to use of slightly contaminated and aggressive media. The brass housing is durable, suitable for neutral fluids and resistant to many chemicals. Please note that the internal valve parts, such as the stainless steel plunger and springs, are also in contact with the medium and must be chemically compatible. Thanks to the ATEX and IECEx certification, this solenoid valve is suited for explosive environments. The valve has an IP65 rating if properly connected.

The Bürkert 0331 valve is a direct-acting, media separated pivoted armature valve. Orifices up to DN 4 and pressure ranges from 0 to 16 bar. The distinct feature of this valve from the 0330 model is the absence of threads, replaced by a Bürkert SFB (Specific Flange design Bürkert) flange connection at the bottom. This flange can be used to mount the valve onto a manifold or to mount onto a bigger valve (for example the Type 5282) and act as a pilot valve. The 0331 valve comes in 2/2 and 3/2-way versions. The 3/2-way versions are available as normally open, normally closed, distributor or mixing valve. The medium separated design makes this valve suitable for aggressive or slightly contaminated media. The standard brass housing satisfies all European drinking water requirements. The 0331 is equipped with manual override for commissioning and testing. ATEX explosion approved versions are also available.
