The Contact module, which contains two contact elements, two NO, and a screw terminal, is designed for mounting on the front plate. This is commonly referred to as the Contact module SIRIUS ACT, which is used for switching power circuits. The SIRIUS ACT is a brand name owned by Siemens and offers a unique range of pushbuttons and signalling devices with worldwide product approvals. These products come in three modern design lines of rugged genuine metal and high-grade plastic.
These units are extremely easy to install thanks to an innovative snap-on concept. The installation can be completed with only one hand and does not require any special tools. Complete twist prevention is already integrated, so groove-free holes are sufficient as mounting holes. Due to their high degree of protection, these robust devices can be used both indoors and outdoors. They are resistant to cleaning with a high-pressure jet, and dust, oils, or caustic solutions cannot interfere with their reliable operation.
In addition to standard wiring, these devices can also be connected to the controller via PROFINET, AS-Interface or IO-Link. This can significantly reduce wiring time and effort, minimise sources of error, and provide greater flexibility.
