This is an Ex isolating spark gap designed for indirectly connecting or earthing functionally isolated installation parts under lightning conditions. It is suitable for safe installation in Ex zone 2 areas with gases. The device is ATEX-certified and is used for lightning equipotential bonding compliant with IEC 62305 in hazardous areas (Zone 2). It features a nominal discharge lightning impulse current (8/20) of 50kA, a lightning impulse current (10/350) of 2.5kA, a nominal spark-over voltage of 300kV, a nominal power frequency follow current interrupting rating of 300V, and a stainless steel 304 (RVS 304 V2A) flange connection. It is explosion-proof with an IP rating of IP54.
