The DEHNshield Basic is a multipole, spark-gap-based combined lightning current and surge arrester meeting standards of EN 61643-11 and IEC 60364-5-53 and IEC 60364-4-44. It features a compact design due to its space-saving spark gap technology occupying only 1 module/pole, suitable for use in retrofit or refurbished residential buildings for injury protection to terminal equipment. This 4-pole device’s key features include a lightning impulse current (10/350) of 30kA, maximum continuous voltage of 255V AC, and nominal voltage of 230V AC. Its safety levels are rated at 1.5kV, with a follow-current extinguishing capability of 25kA. Can be positioned at the origin of the electrical installation.
